Terms of Service

Welcome to Pawstamp. These terms are a straightforward agreement between you and the developer of Pawstamp. Please read them before using the app.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Pawstamp, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What Pawstamp is

Pawstamp is an iOS app that generates playful, fictional thoughts for your pet based on photos you provide. The output is intended purely for entertainment. It is not real animal communication, and it is not veterinary, behavioral, or medical advice.

3. Your content

You retain full ownership of every photo and journal entry you create with Pawstamp. By using the app, you grant Pawstamp a limited, revocable license to process your photos through the Gemini AI API for the sole purpose of generating the pet thought and structured journal data. This license exists only to make the core feature work — we do not use, display, distribute, or train models on your photos for any other purpose.

4. AI disclaimer

Pet thoughts are generated by an AI model. They are fictional, sometimes wrong, sometimes absurd, and never represent actual animal thoughts or feelings. Do not make health, safety, training, or behavioral decisions based on AI-generated content. If your pet is sick, injured, or behaving unusually, please consult a qualified veterinarian.

5. Subscriptions

Pawstamp offers a free tier and optional auto-renewing premium subscriptions, sold through the Apple App Store:

Prices may vary by region; Apple will show you the exact local price at checkout. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

To cancel: open iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Pawstamp → Cancel Subscription. Refunds are governed by Apple's refund policy — please contact Apple directly for refund requests.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the service. You can delete your account yourself at any time in Settings → Delete Account.

8. Service availability

Pawstamp depends on third-party services (Apple, Google, Supabase, RevenueCat). We'll do our best to keep the app running, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for downtime caused by those providers.

9. Apple Licensed Application EULA

Pawstamp is distributed through the Apple App Store. As an App Store app, your use of Pawstamp is also covered by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which sets out the basic licensing terms Apple applies to apps installed on Apple devices. You can read it at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. The Apple EULA applies in addition to these Terms of Service. If anything in the Apple EULA conflicts with these Terms with respect to your use of the App Store version of Pawstamp, the Apple EULA controls to the extent of the conflict.

10. Limitation of liability

Pawstamp is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including inaccuracies in AI-generated content.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute shall be brought in the courts located in Hong Kong SAR.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pawstamp after an update means you accept the new terms.
